Position Overview

We Do Bling, a custom apparel and decorated goods brand, is expanding with the launch of its website and storefront. We are looking for a dedicated Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our team. This position is essential to our production process and ensures that our high-quality standards are met. As a Decorated Apparel Production Associate, you will oversee the handling, preparation, and quality control of products to fulfill customer orders accurately and on time.


Reports To:

Operations Manager - Your primary point of contact for job duties, feedback, and coordination.


Key Responsibilities

IInventory Management:

  • Receive, count, and verify incoming goods, ensuring quantities match invoices.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of garments, transfers, and supplies.
  • Label and assign inventory locations for new products.
  • Manage and adjust inventory, track on-hand and committed stock, and support bi-annual inventory counts.
  • Ensure workspace and stockroom cleanliness and orderliness.

 

Production Prep:

  • Prepare garments for production by matching styles and colors to customer orders.
  • Coordinate rhinestone and other transfers to align with customer requirements.
  • Interpret work orders and instructions accurately to fulfill production requirements.
  • Verify sizes, colors, quantities, and styles, documenting any discrepancies.
  • Notify management of any shortages and/or overages.

 

Post Production:

  • Fold, bag, and box finished products to match customer specifications.
  • Coordinate shipping for domestic and international orders.
  • Create shipping and fulfillment transactions for supplier and vendor returns.
  • Troubleshoot issues with customer returns, such as incorrect addresses or missed decorations.
  • Remove trash, cardboard, and other recyclables at the end of each shift.

 

Quality Control:

  • Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards.
  • Identify and report any flaws or inconsistencies to management for corrective action.
  • Verify order accuracy by cross-checking documentation.

 

Systems and Procedures:

  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to understand and follow established procedures.
  • Provide input on workflow improvements to enhance productivity and organization.

 

Adherence to Timelines:

  • Work efficiently to meet project deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality.
  • Communicate any challenges or delays to the Operations Manager in a timely manner.

 

Workflow Coordination:

  • Manage workflow efficiently to meet project deadlines.
  • Communicate with team members to ensure coordinated and timely order completion.

 

Documentation and Record-keeping:

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, shortages, and damaged goods.
  • Assist with data entry, job filing, and document preparation for custom orders.
  • Create and maintain a portfolio of completed projects for reference and promotion.

Qualifications

  • High attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
  • 0-2 years of experience in shipping, production, or stockroom roles preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for most of the day.
  • Good manual dexterity, eyesight, and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
  • Comfortable with technology and able to learn new systems easily.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Dependable, with a positive attitude and strong organizational skills.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Prior knowledge of apparel trends or rhinestone application is a plus.

Work Environment

 

Job Location: On site at We Do Bling Headquarters in Wintersville OH

Job Type: Part-time, up to 25 hours per week

Salary: $12 per hour, with growth opportunities based on performance
